full service design simplified
Thank you for considering Layered for your design project. Whether you’re updating, renovating or building new, our goal is to create beautiful spaces by implementing unique and personalized design direction. We focus on bringing your personal style to life, creating spaces that reflect your story.
While each project is unique, our design approach follows a clear, flexible path tailored to your needs. Here’s an overview of how we work.
initial consultation
Your project begins with a personal consultation—either on-site in your home or at the Layered Studio, depending on the nature of your project. For new builds or homes not yet constructed, meeting at the studio allows us to review plans, discuss architectural details, and begin shaping the overall vision in a calm, inspiring environment.
During this consultation, we walk through your goals, what’s working, what’s not, and the feeling you want your home to embody. It’s a collaborative conversation that helps us understand your aesthetic, lifestyle, and the level of transformation you’re seeking.
As we talk, we take thoughtful, detailed notes—capturing the nuances of your needs, the pieces you love, and the opportunities we see for elevating each space.
After our meeting, we return to the Layered Studio to review every detail. From there, we outline a clear, tailored project scope and prepare a refined estimate that reflects the design services, furnishings, and curated selections your project may require. This ensures you have a beautifully transparent understanding of what it will take to bring your vision to life.
You’ll receive this estimate to review at your convenience. Once approved, we move seamlessly into the formal design phase—an elevated, highly personalized process that brings creativity, intention, and quiet luxury to every decision.
The consultation is designed to offer clarity, confidence, and a curated path forward—allowing you to fully understand the possibilities and the experience of working with Layered.
