layers of love

Working with my family has always been the hopeful beat of my creative heart and it’s finally become a reality for all of us.

Finding contractors that are reliable, enthusiastic and display unsurpassed commitment and talent to their craft is not an easy task. But I have found just that and more in this team. I may a bit biassed as I am the mamma of my painting contractors and the wife of my creative partner but that’s what makes this collaboration fun and overflowing with reward.

Our oldest son Cole, tapping into his entrepreneurial spirit, started his own painting business appropriately named Summit Professional Painting (SPP). After pursuing a career using his degree in Healthcare, he soon realized his true calling was to start his own business. Shortly thereafter his brother Ashton our youngest, after graduating with his degree in Business Administration, hopped on board to help manage the business where they now work side by side growing this reputable painting company.

Shaun (i.e.Burly), my husband and creative partner for 32 years, never fails to inspire and encourage me and support my mission to create spaces that feel good and make people happy in their environment. With 30+ years of experience in the trade he’s the perfect fit-encouraging me, sharing his great sense of vision for projects and helping to connect the business to the good contractors and dependable, trustworthy trades people.

Courtney, my sister, assistant, aSISTERant; recently brought on board to help me maneuver through the grueling taks of internal details. Her presence in the studio brings such a great dynamic to Layered- offering not only me but my clients additional attention and personal service. She’s somebody I can count on to keep my head above water, lighten me up when needed, oh and drink wine with at 5' o’clock. Wink wink.
